TrustLine Background Check Application Process Overview

Drivers: Get the TrustLine Background Check application and instructions from the agency that is requiring you to apply. This is important because the application will include the unique agency code of the transportation company.

How to apply to TrustLine information:

From the company requiring you to apply to TrustLine, you will receive the Applicant Initiated Instruction form with the agency PIN number. This form instructs you how to go on to the Guardian database and submit your application information and processing fees. Or, to mail-in the application and processing fees, the company will give you a TrustLine paper application (TLR9163G). Either way, you will also need to have your fingerprints scanned at a Live Scan site, which will be submitted electronically.

The company may give you instructions on the application process they would like you to use. However, once you receive the application from the company, if you need more detailed instructions about the application process, you can find a step-by-step guide here.

For TrustLine Background Check Status results:

After you submit the TrustLine Background Check application, fees, and your fingerprints, you can call TrustLine at 800-822-8490, or email trustline@rrnetwork.org, to check the status of your background check application. You will need to provide your first and last name and ID number (CA or Out-of-State Driver’s License or ID number, or a permanent resident card).

If you have submitted your application online, on the Guardian database, you can check your application status in your Guardian profile.
